Melson Liao brings to Botaniex Inc. an extensive background in the dietary supplements, health foods and pharmaceuticals industries. His well-rounded experience and extensive networking in the industries enable him to effectively integrate the resources of Botaniex in the areas of market development, technology application and human resources.Prior to joining Botaniex, Mr. Liao was Executive Vice President / President of Hunan Kinglong Bio-Resources Co., Ltd, the largest manufacturer and marketer of botanical/herbal extracts in China. At Kinglong, he focused on strategic planning, business development and human resource management. In 2000,Melson Liao founded Canadian-incorporated Macro-Strategy Consulting Inc, which serves the industries of health foods/dietary supplements and pharmaceuticals in China and North America. In 2002, he worked as a strategic consultant for Shanghai Jiaoda Onlly Co., Ltd., and formulated the strategic plan for its Division of Natural Ingredients – NOVANAT. In addition, Mr. Liao was instrumental in the merger & acquisition of Hunan Kinglong Bio-Resources Co., Ltd at the beginning of 2003.Mr. Liao began his career at Capsugel China/Pfizer in 1990, where he worked for over 10 years. He was initially hired as a Territory Sales Manager and due to his outstanding performance he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager and finally to National Sales Manager/Director. During his tenure at Capsugel, he systematically mastered the conceptual skills of marketing products successfully. In addition, he established an extensive customer base and a strong network that enables him to easily access the major worldwide manufacturers of dietary supplements health foods, and pharmaceuticals.Mr. Liao received his MBA from South-China University of Technology, Post MBA from Schulich School of Business / York University, and Diploma from University of Michigan Business School.
