Chief Scientific Advisor
Thanks to Prof. Luo’s academic achievements, he was awarded many prizes both at the national-level and the provincial level. In 2007, he is the academician candidate of China Science Academy, which is an organization of consisting of the most distinguished scientists in China. He is the trailblazer of The Modernization of Chinese Traditional Medicines and the founder of The Finger-Print Chromatographic System for Herbs & Plants. Pro. Luo held several key positions at some influential associations or organizations such as:
- The Member of the National Committee of New Drug Research and Development,
- Vice President of China Analytical Instrument Association,
- Executive Vice President of China Chromatographology Association and Member of Beijing New Drug Approval Council.
- The editor of the magazines of Acta Pharmaceutica Sinia, Chromatograph, Analysis Science, Modernization of TCM, Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine, Analysis Instrument, Spectrum Instrument & Analysis, and Tsinghua Academics.
- Member of Beijing Municipal Political Consultative Committee, Member of the Board of Beijing NongGong Democratic Party, and Director of Beijing Municipal Technology Committee.
Prof. Luo got his Bachelor of Science degree in Department of Biochemical Engineering in 1969 and Master degree in Department of Chemistry in 1982 from Huadong (Eastern China) Technology University. In 1990, Prof. Luo was invited to work as a Visiting Professor in Penn. State University in U.S and later worked as Research Scientist over there.
